On this page you will learn how to make cursors :)

For this tutorial you will need a graphics program and/ or animation program that allows you to save your images as .ani or .cur. I used Jasc Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop. You can download a free trial of both here.

Once you have your graphics program open, create a new image (File, New) and make is sort of small. Not incredibly small. Start it at about 100 x 100. The size doesn't matter much since you'll be cropping it later, anyway. Just make sure that you have the background transparent.

As soon as you have created your new image, select the Paint Brush tool and make sure it is set to draw only ONE pixel.

Now is the difficult part. Decide what you want on your cursor and start drawing it. It can also have text, and anything else you want, on it. It may be difficult to draw it, but it's the only way. When drawing, make sure you save often and you zoom in to see what you're drawing better.

Once you finish drawing, make sure you save it. At this point, crop the image if necessary so there isn't blank space around it. Save the image as a .gif

Next, open the program you'll be using to save as .cur or .ani In my case, that is Animation Shop.

Copy your image from the graphics program and paste it in the second program, making sure that the background remains transparent.

Click "File," Save As" and save your image as either a .ani or .cur image (either one you choose, it doesn't make much of a difference).
.ani: .cur:

That's it! Now you can upload it (click here to learn how) and put it where you like with these codes:
