Here is a little guide I put together myself to help people get neopoints :)

1. When you get codestones, put them in your shop right away. Then use the shop wizard and see what the cheapest price is. Next price yours a little bit lower than that lowest price (by about 50-100 neopoints). The reason for this is, even though you didn't get as many neopoints as the other people would have, at least you sold yours. The people with higher prices did not sell theirs so you are the one earning neopoints.

2. If you find a map piece of any kind,you can either keep it (because when you get lot of them, you can get 14,000 or more neopoints) otherwise you could sell them to get more neopoints than when you turn them in for a prize. In the case of the Lab Map pieces, you should keep them because when you get them all (all 9 of course) you can get access to the lab ray (and ONLY after you get all the pieces- even if someone who has access to the lab ray gave you the URL of the actual place, when you go there, it says that you have not found all of the pieces of the map, so it doesn't matter). Anyway, the lab ray is very valuable as it can change your pet to any species of pet and any color pet also (including baby, faerie, pirate, mystery, etc).

3. Play as many of the games that you know how to play EVERYDAY. I know it is time consuming, but it is worth it. Some times you can rake in about 10,000np a day, especially if you play Pyramids as you can get a maximum of 5,000np (which is really easy to do and it doesn't take long).

4. Don't fall for any scams. This may sound like a big DUH, but some people do fall for scams. All those people who post on the message boards saying "Help I have been hacked!" really mean "Help I have been scammed!" because they fell for something, instead of someone just tried to hack your account and succeeding. 5. As soon as you get any neopoints, you should put it in the bank so: A. your money can't get stolen by evil creatures and B. You can gain interest everyday. What I do is always keep 1,000np out of the bank as spending money and put everything else in the bank. My friend keeps all of her money in her shop till, where it is also safe, but you don't gain interest in your shop till.

6. Don't heal your pets' illnesses or feed them. It sounds heartless but Neopets can't die so there's not really a need to feed them. If your pet gets sick, just go to the Healing Springs in Faerieland and the Water Faerie should eventually heal your pet of its disease.

7. Shop-wiz Restocking. I started doing this and got over 200,000 neopoints in a matter of days. What you do is pick an item that is rather common (Ex: codestones or faeries). I picked the Lu Codestone because it had a rather stable price of around 4,700np. Next, you go to the shop wiz and you search for lu codestones that are priced at 4,000 or less. You will find some: inexperienced players mis-price them because they don't know their actual worth. Some of you might think it's mean to take advantage of stupid people, but trust me you'll get neopoints. The lowest I bought one for was 19 np, for a profit of 4,700! Anyway, if you manage to buy some of them, price them lowest on the shop wiz (say the lowest is 4,700 then you would price yours 4,650). Once you have sold them, keep going! The profits get larger as larger. This method takes a lot of patience (continuous refreshing, etc.) and sometimes effort. I got my 200+k from doing this for entire days at a time. It's worth it though when you want to buy that special rare item :)
